Patrick T. Finn, CTP

Patrick is a results-oriented certified turnaround professional with more than nineteen years of experience in revitalizing under performing companies and improving profitability.

Patrick frequently serves in executive-level management positions for distressed clients working through the turnaround and recovery process. He has an impressive track record as a Court-appointed Receiver of operating companies, real estate, and in situations where fraud or other illicit activity has occurred. He also has extensive experience working with clients struggling through family business issues such as succession planning, conflict resolution and corporate governance.

A representative sample of his engagements and experience include:

• Served as Receiver responsible for unraveling a $160 million Ponzi scheme perpetrated by overselling loan participations to banking institutions. Implemented process to validate claims and distribute the funds recovered to victims.
• Interim CFO during the wind-down of a $700 million lender to real estate developers and contractors. Implemented procedures to manage and optimize recovery achieved from liquidation of REO inventory.
• Advised $40 million contract manufacturer in the development of a turnaround plan, workout agreement with creditors, and successful return to profitability.
• Managed wind-down and liquidation of a real estate developer. Satisfied all creditor claims and achieved a $4 million recovery for shareholders after completing construction and liquidation of $17.5 million in real estate holdings.
• Served as Receiver of a $30 million manufacturer of modular office furniture. Managed business wind-down and liquidation achieving 100% recovery for primary secured creditor.
• Advised family-owned commercial printer in the development and implementation of a turnaround plan to improve cash flow and restore profitability.
• Re-engineered entire business process from sales order entry to cash collections for a medical device manufacturer. Outcomes included an 80% reduction in average order processing time.
• Ten years as CEO of a family-owned manufacturer of plastic components, automation, and tooling serving the medical and consumer electronics industries. Transformed an unprofitable, under-performing operation into a highly profitable industry leader.

Patrick holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas and is a CTP. He has also served on the board of directors for several institutions including Burnett Medical Center and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.
